I'll do you a deal - you run as the Sensible party, and I'll run as the Silly party.

For the record, I hope DS4SEQ get some candidates in, and daylight savings gets up!

Thanks for the write up. Very refreshing to read a well written critique of what we are up (not that totally agree with all he points made of course!).

I guess the only comment we would make is that we are quite explicitly and deliberately a single issue party - and we make absolutely no apology for it!

Do we want to form government - No. Do we want to make sure that the 69% of the people of SEQ who have been ignored on wanting Daylight Saving get on opportunity to have a say on this issue - Yes. Sometimes the only way to force change in a democratic society is to take an issue to the ballot box, that’s what we have been forced to do by the lack of action on the part of our politicians. So we have to deliver our message where they will take notice! Call it a naive belief in the power of democracy if you like - but from the increasing level of support we are gathering, we are clearly not alone in our view!

BTW – in response to your observation about ‘moving the problem north’ – watch out for some interesting data we have uncovered that demonstrates why our proposed solution will have far less impact than the current crazy situation.

Regards
DS4SEQ

PS - Of course, once we have achieved our goal of Daylight Saving in SEQ, we could disband, and then immediately re-form as the ‘Sensible Party’ (only Python aficionados will get that one!) :)
